SUNRISE — The Florida Panthers got a little measure of revenge against the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday night thanks to Sergei Bobrovsky and some timely goals.

Bobrovsky made 30 saves for his second shutout of the season in leading the Panthers to a 3-0 win.

Los Angeles had been 7-0-1 against the Panthers in the past eight games, including a 2-1 win last Wednesday.

This Wednesday, Sam Bennett gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead in the first.

It stayed that way until Sasha Barkov scored off Matthew Tkachuk’s second primary assist of the night on a 5-on-3 power play in the third.

Tkachuk had a three-point night, scoring into an empty net with 1:12 left.

Florida moved into first place in the Atlantic Division standings with the win.

GAME NOTES: KINGS @ PANTHERS

  • The Panthers honored Dmitry Kulikov for playing in his 1,00th NHL game during a break in the first period. They will have a special pregame ceremony for Kulikov before Sunday’s game against the New York Islanders.
  • Kulikov is the seventh player in the 2009 NHL draft class to play in his 1,000th game. His 588 games played with the Panthers are the sixth most in franchise history.
  • By getting the secondary assist on Bennett’s first-period goal, Kulikov became the sixth Florida player to record a point in their 1,000th game. Radek Dvorak did it last in 2009. Dvorak and Kulikov are the only Florida draftees to play their 1,000th game with the Panthers.

HOW THEY SCORED

  • Panthers 1, Kings 0 (4:55 1st): Sam Bennett takes a cross-ice feed from Matthew Tkachuk while on the left post and fires a puck off a downed Darcy Kuemper and into the back of the net.
  • Panthers 2, Kings 0 (4:43 3rd PP): With a two-man advantage, Tkachuk bangs one off the end boards — and Sasha Barkov is camped on the left post and sweeps the puck home.
  • Panthers 3, Kings 0 (18:48 3rd EN): Tkachuk ends it from center ice.
