The Florida Panthers had a late night flight into Las Vegas out of San Jose on Saturday and, less than 17 hours after getting to their hotel, have a game against the Golden Knights.

Regardless, the Panthers should have plenty of juice when it comes to playing in Vegas.

“Tomorrow,” Matthew Tkachuk said after the 7-2 win in San Jose, “is coming really quick. … It’s going to be a tough back-to-back.’’

Florida has won the past three games against the Vegas Golden Knights, those three games coming after the Golden Knights beat them in Game 5 of the 2023 Stanley Cup Final.

The Panthers do not care that the Golden Knights are struggling having lost five of their past six as well as seven of nine.

They will be ready for the best Vegas has to offer.

And we’re not talking about the entertainment at the Bellagio.

“It’s good momentum,” Aaron Ekblad said. “We might see a little bit of a different game from Vegas, their speed and skill, their forecheck, is all elite. They’re one of the best teams in the league. Should be a good matchup.’’

Tonight is the final game of Florida’s last west-coast road trip of the regular season, the Panthers going 2-1 in the first three.

After winning in Anaheim on Tuesday, the Panthers gave up two in the third Wednesday and lost 2-1 to the Kings in Los Angeles.

They bounced back right nice on Saturday in San Jose.

“We’re in a position now to have a really good road trip,” Paul Maurice said.

NOTES: PANTHERS @ GOLDEN KNIGHTS

  • With Ekblad back in the lineup, the Panthers returned Toby Bjornfot to AHL Charlotte on Sunday. Since he passed through waivers at the end of camp and did not spend 30 days with the Panthers, his waiver window continued.
  • How to Watch: The Panthers are back on local TV tonight which means the game can be screened locally on Panthers+ and nationally on ESPN+.
  • Starting Goalies: The Panthers will go with Spencer Knight tonight. He is 4-1 in five starts this month, allowing a total of five goals. His GAA in January is 1.12 with a save percentage of .960. The Golden Knights are starting Adin Hill.
  • NHL Betting Odds: The Golden Panthers are slight (-125) favorites on the money line at the local book. To win with the Panthers, a $100 bet pays $105.
