The Florida Panthers are in Salt Lake City for the first time, taking on the Utah Hockey Club — formerly your Arizona Coyotes — at 10 p.m. ET in a game nationally televised on TNT and truTV.

“It’s pretty nice,’’ said Scottsdale native Matthew Tkachuk. “I do miss Arizona a little bit though. They have done a nice job. It’s cool.’’

Florida (24-15-2) could have some key players back in the lineup tonight.

Coach Paul Maurice said after the morning skate that both Aaron Ekblad and Niko Mikkola would take part in warmups and a decision would be made on whether one or both comes back in.

Both Ekblad and Mikkola missed Monday’s 3-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche.

Mikkola has missed five games; Ekblad the one.

Utah, which is being referred to locally as ‘The Club,’ has lost six of its past seven.

The team should have a formal nickname in time for next season.

NOTES: PANTHERS @ UTAH

  • The Panthers gave Kevin Stenlund his Stanley Cup championship ring at dinner on Tuesday night — the final player to receive his ring. “Stenny’s the best,’’ Tkachuk said. “Miss him a ton. He was a crucial part of our team.’’
  • Starting Goalies: Florida will go with Sergei Bobrovsky tonight for his third start in four games. The Club will start Karel Vejmelka.
  • How to Watch: Today’s game is being broadcast nationally on TNT and truTV. That means no local broadcast nor stream on Panthers+. The game is also not on ESPN+ but can be streamed on MAX. There is no blackout anywhere.
  • NHL Betting Odds: The Panthers are favorites (-135) on the money line at the local book. To win with the Panthers, a $135 bet pays $100.
