The Florida Panthers played one of their toughest games of the season Sunday, going toe-to-toe with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

With 25 games remaining in the regular season, the question is not whether the Panthers will make the playoffs but where will they be seeded.

In this pandemic-affected NHL season, the Panthers will only play within the reworked Central Division.

When the postseason starts, the first two rounds of the Stanley Cup playoffs will be within the division as well.

So, with Florida currently sitting second in the Central, if the season ended right now it would play Carolina in a best-of-7 series.

Of course, this season is nowhere close to being over.
