There’s no doubt there is still a pit of regret and what could’ve been permeating through the bodies of the Florida Panthers players and coaches, as well as Panthers fans right now. However, as George Richards pointed out in his latest FHN+ column, how everyone feels about the Florida Panthers right now and will in the immediate future is a much different feeling than they had heading into recent offseasons. The contending Florida Panthers have finally arrived!
‘In this 2021 season, the Panthers finished with their highest point percentage of all-time (.705, ranked fourth in the entire league), winning 37 of 56 games.
These Panthers were legitimately good.
And they are legitimately good. As Sasha Barkov said after it all came to a disappointing end Wednesday night in Game 6 against the Lightning, the Florida Panthers are contenders now.’
