Florida Panthers, Adidas reveal new Reverse Retro jersey. Your thoughts?

A day after Adidas gave us what turned out to be final hints to what the Florida Panthers new ‘Reverse Retro’ jerseys would look like, it has been officially released.

The new sweater mixes new and old from Florida Panthers history. The jersey is a nod to the team’s original look from the leaping panther logo to the stripes on the sleeve.

As was hinted yesterday, the jersey is predominately blue in color with white at the edge of the sleeves as well as at the bottom.

The team’s new gold color is instituted as well as the team’s more recent shade of red.

The blue jersey harkens back to the team’s original third jerseys which came not long after the moved to their new arena in Sunrise in 1998.

I dig the new look, think the new shade of gold really pops off the blue and red.

The white is a little different, but I think it looks pretty good.

According to the team, the new sweater will be available on Dec. 1 and they are taking pre-orders now.

The team also announced a new beer to celebrate the throwback look with partner Funky Buddha Brewery.

According to the team, the Retro Floridian draft is a special release of the brewery’s classic Floridian Wheat Beer and is made with orange peel and vanilla.

Retro Floridian will be available for a limited time only starting on Dec. 1 in the Funky Buddha Brewery Tap Room and at participating bars and restaurants.
