NBC announces NHL schedule, to broadcast Florida Panthers once in 2021

On Tuesday, NBC announced its 2021 NHL schedule both on the main network and NBCSN. As usual, finding a Florida Panthers game takes some searching.

Unless the Panthers get flexed into NBC’s final weekend or something else happens, the Panthers are scheduled for one national television appearance this season on the NBC family of networks.

Florida’s lone appearance will come on NBCSN’s Sunday Night Hockey on Feb. 21 when the Panthers travel to Detroit.

Tampa Bay, the defending Stanley Cup champions, get four appearances on the network including its season-opener Jan. 13 against the visiting Blackhawks.

The Panthers will open their 56-game 2021 schedule Jan. 14 against the visiting Dallas Stars with that game broadcast locally on Fox Sports Florida.

All 56 of Florida’s games are expected to be carried — including the Sunday night game from Detroit — on FSF or Fox Sports Sun with Steve Goldstein and Randy Moller on the call.
