Florida Panthers Fail to Rally, Lose to Golden Knights

The Florida Panthers did not seem to be any worse for wear in the second half of a back-to-back Sunday against the Vegas Golden Knights.
In the end, they just could not find a way to rally against Adin Hill.
The Panthers found themselves down a pair of goals going into the third and, despite cutting their deficit in half early in the period, lost 4-1 to the slumping Golden Knights.
Florida went 2-2-0 on this road trip, being held to two goals in losses to Los Angeles and Vegas. The Golden Knights lost seven of their previous nine coming in.
Hill made 31 saves in the win; Spencer Knight made 21 in the loss.
Florida came out flying to open the game, peppering Hill with one shot after another.
Only a turnover led to a rush from the Knights, Brayden McNabb making it 1-0 at 5:26 of the first.
Vegas made it 2-0 on a wrister from Tanner Pearson at 5:40 of the second.
The Panthers cut into the lead when Anton Lundell deflected a point-shot from Eetu Luostarinen 1:56 into the third — only Jack Eichel made it 3-1 by scoring on a breakaway with 8:29 left.
The Panthers will come home Monday and kick off a three-game homestand Wednesday against the Kings.
