Florida hockey now nhl coverage

As the NHL starts playing again Saturday afternoon, coverage of the Florida Panthers is only going to ramp up here at Florida Hockey Now — if you can believe that.

Since I launched this site on July 8, I have filed close to 40 stories on the Panthers ranging from deep-dives, features, notebooks and analysis.

I also finally got my podcast off the ground.

The Panthers Pressbox Podcast has seems to have been well received. It is available for download through Apple, Google and everywhere else podcasts are found.

The plan is to continue dropping new episodes following each game as quickly as I can.

Guess what? We are also in Toronto.

While I remain in Florida, we have two reporters on the ground and covering the games from Scotiabank Arena.

Dan Kingerski, the founder of the National Hockey Now network, is in Toronto and will be on site not only to cover the Penguins but will help out on gameday coverage of the Panthers as well.

Dan already has posted his thoughts on the Panthers and their long fight for respect both within the league and in South Florida.

Longtime NHL author and sportscaster Rob Simpson is also on site and will be covering the Panthers from atop the arena.

Simmer’s first column will come off Game 1.

Looking forward to reading his perspective once this series gets going.

For complete coverage of the Islanders during this qualifier, Islanders writer Christian Arnold has all you need at nyiHockeyNow.com.

Christian has agreed to join me on the postgame podcast, so that’ll be fun.

Out west, Adrian Dater of ColoradoHockeyNow.com is in Edmonton and will bring complete coverage from that side of the bracket.

Although I may be writing from South Florida, I remain in contact with the Panthers and will continue to provide as much inside information as you have come to expect from me.

These are exciting times for us hockey fans.

For those of you who have signed up, thanks for joining us.

For those new to my site, hope you’ll come along for the ride. You can subscribe here.
