Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety today after hitting Tampa Bay Lightning forward Blake Coleman from behind and into the boards in the third period of the Cats’ 5-4 loss in Game 1 Sunday. Bennett was trying to exact revenge for what he felt was a borderline hit on his captain Sasha Barkov by Coleman, but he appears to have crossed the line and could miss Game 2.
