A brief video posted on Twitter on Tuesday reveals a few more hints on what the new Adidas ‘Reverse Retro’ jerseys will look like for the Florida Panthers.

As the cartoonish video scrolls, different team colors pop up with the number on the back of the jersey apparently representing the year the jersey will depict.

Adidas has been planning to release reverse retro-style sweaters which will be worn for select games.

On the video released by Adidas, as the numbers scroll up, the Panthers’ modern gold-and-red pops up with a ‘95.’

The hint, to me, is that the Panthers’ new jerseys — they are being called the ‘Retro Fourths’ even though Florida still does not have a third jersey — will have the modern color scheme (the team changed its look from logos to colors in 2016) with the 1990s original logos.

The ‘95,’ we assume, refers to the 1995-96 season which has been the most successful one in franchise history.

The Panthers, a third-year expansion team, went to the Stanley Cup Finals that year. Fans threw rubber rats.

Some of you remember it.

Of course, as some of you have pointed out, right around the red-gold version there are various blue-red hints.

So, perhaps instead of using the current colors, the “Retro Reverse” is a blue jersey — or even a red one.

We will find out soon enough.

No word from the Panthers on the new threads just yet.

The new jerseys are expected to officially be released by Adidas in the coming weeks.
